Serie de TV de 26 episodios (1973-1974). La acción se sitúa en la China de la dinastía Sung. Kao Chiu, el favorito del emperador, profana el secreto de la montaña sagrada, en la que moran espíritus malignos y héroes milenarios. Kao y sus hombres mantienen a los habitantes de la capital sumidos en la miseria y dominados por el terror.
